The Huron Public Library in Huron, Ohio is seeking an innovative, energetic, and committed full time (40 hours per week) Supervising Librarian to lead the Public Services department. Highly qualified candidates will be passionate about serving the public in increasingly creative ways, have experience working with all ages in a public library or public service setting, knowledge of public library trends and resources, skills to provide readers advisory and reference services, and the ability to develop a comprehensive programming schedule for library patrons from New Adults through Senior Citizens. The Head of Public Services will be responsible for managing Public Services operations, planning public programs for lifelong learners, managing collections, implementing new services and resources as determined by the Director and the Library Strategic Plan, advising and evaluating staff, among other duties. The ideal candidate will serve customers with a sense of purpose and passion and will have a vision for the department and future library services in Huron. Preferred applicants will have a Masters in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited school, with supervisory experience.
Salary range: $32,000 to $35,000 annually with a competitive benefits package.

Huron Public Library is located near the shores of Lake Erie and serves the over 10,000 residents living in the Huron City School District. Located off of Route 2, Huron is small town with a high quality of life, located 50 miles from downtown Cleveland.
