Classification: Customer Experience Manager
Work: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Wages: $25.32 – $29.67 /hour, excellent benefits

Reporting to the Director, the Customer Experience Manager supervises two Departments: Circulation and Catalog & Acquisitions and is the Library expert in emerging technology acquisition, training, and trends.
-Interview, select, train, supervise and schedule supervisory staff in Circulation and Catalog & Acquisitions departments
-Provide technology training services to staff and customers as related to new technology, automation, trends, gadgets, digital resources, and computer training
-Must have teaching/training experience in both actual and virtual events; ability to train and supervise library staff
-Interpret community interest and needs in order to plan appropriate services; make recommendations to the Technology Coordinator, Director, members of the library’s management team, and Board of Trustees regarding present and future technology needs; recommend technology-related and patron-related policies and procedures
-Identify and collaborate on grants and other funding opportunities to support programs and services
-Disseminate pertinent information to appropriate library staff to include internal reports and statistics
-Compile, maintain, and distribute promotional and tutorial materials for the library’s digital resources collection
-Collaborate with schools, agencies, and community groups regarding the library’s digital resources and technology offerings
-Show enthusiasm and commitment to excellent customer service, genuine public service orientation and the ability to work with all age groups
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and/or previous experience in technology application and training required. Masters of Library and Information Science required; individuals actively engaged in the completion of the MLIS degree may also be considered. Knowledge of Library policies and procedures, Library laws and regulations. Experience working in a union environment. Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form, prepare accurate and concise reports, resolve problems, develop and maintain effective working relationship with Board of Trustees, Director, library employees and applicable community organizations. Be available to work a flexible schedule that could involve nights and/or weekends where appropriate. Must have valid driver’s license. Ability to lift, carry and push a cart of materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
